Auxiliary protection

Once the filler neck is protected, two access points remain open on most trucks. SENSARMOUR seals off the level sensor opening and the supply and return lines. STROPOL replaces the tank drain plug with one that cannot be removed with standard tools.

Both are installed with the tank empty, without drilling, welding, or modifying anything on the vehicle.

Two families

Closing the routes that almost no one protects

Once the fill neck is armored, two access points remain open on most trucks: the level sensor port and the drain plug. These two families secure them.

SENSARMOUR

Armor that closes access through the level sensor opening. Three sizes, in 3 mm aluminum or 2 mm galvanized steel.

STROPOL

High-security plug for the tank drain hole. M18, M22, M24 and 3/4 BS threads, made of aluminum.

Frequently Asked Questions

Regarding the auxiliary tank protection

Where can fuel be stolen from, other than the fuel filler neck?
There are two points that usually remain unprotected. The first is the level sensor opening: removing or tampering with the sensor provides access to the fuel as well as the supply and return lines. The second is the drain plug located at the bottom of the tank, which on most vehicles can be opened with a standard wrench and allows it to be completely emptied. Armoring only the filler neck leaves both points open.
What size SENSARMOUR do I need?
The size depends on the outer distance between the clamps that secure the tank to the chassis. The L version covers 700 to 1080 mm, the S covers 510 to 710 mm, and the XS covers 410 to 510 mm. It is advisable to measure that distance before ordering, as the frame is secured using those very clamps.
How is SENSARMOUR installed and what precautions should be taken?
It is installed with the tank empty and secured by temporary means. The tank mounting clamps must be loosened one at a time, never both at once, because the tank would become loose. The reinforcement slides into place and is retained by the clamps themselves when retightened: no special tools, drilling, or welding are required.
Which STROPOL thread corresponds to my tank?
There are four versions, all in aluminum: M18, M22, M24, and 3/4 BS. The reference is the thread of the original tank drain plug, which is the part that the STROPOL replaces. It is advisable to check it before ordering. Weights range from 48 grams for the M18 to 56 grams for the M22.
Why can't a STROPOL be disassembled once it has been installed?
The STROPOL is installed with the tank empty and tightened clockwise with an Allen key, like any drain plug. Once tightened, its crown rotates freely counterclockwise, so it does not transmit torque when loosened: there is no way to unscrew it with standard tools, which is what prevents unauthorized draining.
